I feel so completely blessed to have such amazing clients. It has been an eventful year,  meeting new clients and watching others growing older and moving into my new beautiful studio. Thank you to every one that trusted me enough to capture the special times in your lives, you make it possible for me to do what I love. I will spending the rest of the year with my family and will be returning on Monday January 2nd. Happy Holidays to you and I look forward to working with you in 2012!

In the middle of the busiest season here at the studio I have been lucky enough to continue to meet so many new babies. This little guy was so good for me and there is no doubt in my mind that he is LOVED.

It’s hard to believe that she was just a baby when I photographed her for the first time. She was just as big a ham for me then as she is now. Her mom and I are ridiculous when we get together, talking for hours. . . . I treasure her not only as a client but also as a friend. I know she is anxious for a sneak peek so Regan, this post is for you my friend! What a beautiful little girl you have, she is a true blessing.

One day I am photographing this sweet, fresh newborn baby and what seems like the very next day I get the call that she is turning ONE! How is that possible? I promise you it felt a couple of months ago at most that I was meeting this family for the first time just days after their very first child was born and here we are. One year later. It is such an honor and privilege to be invited back to document yet another milestone in their life….

I cannot describe to you how excited/settled/giddy I feel about this long awaited announcement. It has been almost a year since my friends at Petite Elite baby whom I shared a studio with closed their doors and I have to admit it has been a bit of a roller coaster ride for me finding a new studio. I have been desperate to find a place where I can settle in and be creative. A place to meet with clients and shoot. My wish list was long and I wasn’t completely sure I was going to find the perfect space. I have always been a believer of fate and when I stumbled across the listing for this 1917 Bungalow online I knew fate was working overtime! Within ten days, I was moving in. Somebody pinch me, this is too good to be true!

I am lucky enough to have the most amazing makeup artist in the space with me, Brandi Lynn Tort who will be available to all of my clients who are interested in having their makeup professionally done for their photo shoot. FH Weddings and Events is also joining us on this venture with a beautiful space to meet with their future brides! Although I am sure things will be changing a bit as I get new photos on the walls and put the finishing touches on things, I wanted to share some photos I took today. One of my favorite clients stopped by for some updated photos and she was sweet enough to leave me a message on my recently painted chalkboard door. How am I ever going to erase it? Thanks Sophie!!

The new studio is located at 211 South Howard Avenue in Tampa between Cleveland and Platt Street across from Mangroves. Come by and see us anytime. You may even meet our studio kitty, Little Black Kitty Kat aka LBKK. He has been here for many years and we are happy to be sharing this amazing space with him!

We headed out to Cocoa Beach yesterday for a perfect day of boogie boarding, surfing, playing in the sand and repeatedly being stung by very pesky jelly fish. The weather was perfect and the company even better. We made a pact as a family to go to the beach more often since we always have such a great time. I just wish we lived closer to the waves as the west coast of Florida while beautiful and relaxing falls a bit short in the waves department. My son’s best friend David attempted to teach me to surf. By the time I got it and felt ready to stand up my tired legs just wouldn’t do what my body told them to. Next time. I am determined. Must build leg muscles before next trip. I was extremely impressed to see Brandon (my oldest) surfing like he has been doing it his whole life. After a long day we packed our jelly fish stung bodies back into the car and headed home already planning our next trip back. Life is good.

It’s hard to believe that we are even thinking about the holidays but it is that time again. Time to book your holiday photos. This year we are offering both regular and mini sessions. Mini sessions will be held on Saturday September 24th at Winthrop Town Center in Riverview and Saturday October 1st in Redington Shores for those of you looking for a beautiful beach setting. The cost of a mini session is $225 and includes one 11×14 and two 8×10 photos. We also have a variety of beautiful holiday cards to choose from. Regular sessions are also available but both are booking quickly. Book your session by September 15th and save $100 off a regular or beach session. Keep in mind in order to receive prints and cards back by Christmas, you must complete your session by November 10th. We look forward to hearing from you!!

One of the things I love most about photographing newborns is when I get that call to come back and meet a new sibling. Nothing makes me feel like life is flashing before my eyes though (with the exception of watching my own kids grow) like getting that call to come back and photograph baby number 2! I just love this family and can’t wait to see them again when this little girl is sitting up since her mom and I are already planning the shoot :)

I am excited to officially announce that I have branched out and am now offering High School Senior Photography and Sweet Sixteen sessions. I have to admit that I love working with teens, after all I have two living under my very own roof. They are kind of fun to have around. Be sure to visit my Seniors blog to learn more about scheduling a session for your teen.

Meet Elisabeth. I promise you that she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and I don’t think I am wrong in assuming that she has a very big shot at modeling professionally. She is such a natural in front of the camera and made my job SO EASY!!
