FAMILY SESSION ON THE ICE
I got a last minute phone call asking if I could do a shoot at the Amelie arena where her husband plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning. I was so happy that I was available and we planned to meet up in two days.
We met up a little early to take some pictures across the street from the stadium in the park. They just moved here from LA in July and it was a particularly hot and humid day. When I say it was hot, that is a gross understatement. The arena was nice and chilly which was a nice contrast to the heat. We started off in the locker room, which actually took my breath away when we walked in. I didn’t expect it but the energy in the room was insane and I couldn’t help but feel honored to be there. We also got permission to spend a little time on the ice, which I can only assume is a big deal. I didn’t realize until Peter was stepping out on the ice with his youngest son that it was his first time on skates. It was such a laid back afternoon and I was so happy to be able to document this time in their lives in the most special place with the nicest of people.
